Real-world leadership experience, trusted coaching insight
I’m Martin Bauer and I’m a highly experienced and fully qualified Executive and Career Coach.
I’ve spent over 20 years leading digital and data teams before training as an executive coach. I understand the complexity leaders face because I’ve lived it.
In 2020 I came down with Covid and never fully recovered. Realising I may never return to full time work I was forced to come to terms with the limitations of living with Long Covid. It took several years for me to be well enough to even consider working again and then it struck me, while I could no longer work as an executive, I still had a passion for management and many years of experience to share.
I decided to rebuild my path through coaching – and discovered how transformative it would be for me personally and for my clients.
Now, I work with leaders like you to bring clarity, confidence, and build resilience into your own leadership journey.

- Programme Manager for a Big Data start up.
- Chief of Staff and Director of Delivery for a Nasdaq listed Data Analytics platform vendor (Teradata).
Formal qualifications, training & supervision arrangements
- BA/LLB, Monash.
- University Graduate Diploma in Practical Legal Studies.
- Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching & Mentoring.

How I got to this point in my journey
I have a unique combination of technical expertise and commercial acumen, which enables me to help clients navigate complexity, think strategically, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
My career includes over 20 years of senior management experience, specialising in the implementation of enterprise-level solutions using big data, digital technologies, and advanced analytics.
After being diagnosed with long Covid and spending time being largely confined to home and not being able to work, I started to wonder what I could do knowing that I was unlikely to be able to return to full-time work.
During my last role I was lucky enough to have an executive coach and found the experience to be eye opening and something that I felt that all managers should have access to, not just high level executives.
This motivated me to complete a graduate diploma in Senior Management and Executive Coaching and Mentoring.
It didn’t take long for me to adapt to coaching rather than managing and have found it to be both humbling and rewarding to see my clients grow into better versions of themselves and to be happier and more successful at the end of coaching than they were when they started.
